T.E. Scott & Associates, Inc. (TES) provides site related consulting, design
and support services for owners, design firms, architects, and non-profit
organizations on green building projects. As LEED accredited professionals, we
look forward to providing sustainable site design solutions as enthusiastic
design team members.
TES recognizes and is sensitive to techniques that must be employed on
green projects. We are familiar with and approach the
various elements of site and landscape design in accordance with the
U. S. Green
Building Council LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green
Building Rating System®.
We are an enthusiastic and flexible design team member who is open to ideas
and challenged by getting unique ideas "on the ground" and approved.
We enjoy collaboration with other design disciplines - either individually or in
an organized charrette forum.
Our creative flexibility brings the opportunity to provide input and/or design
services for overall site design and
stormwater related elements.
As a result of our experience, we have developed two distinct set of
guidelines to assist designers in integrating stormwater management throughout a
site: Green Grading and
Integrated Bioretention Design.
Green Grading guidelines assist designers in
establishing slope, drainage patterns, and treatment locations; while
Integrated Bioretention Design provides a tool for quick planametric
location and sizing of bioretention facilities. |
"Developers often think
front-loaded planning and design will cost more and delay project schedules.
Greater up-front investments of time and money typically are required [on
Green Building projects], but those costs are often recovered - with
interest...."
